An Independent, Bible-believing New Testament church in Palmer, Alaska, faithfully preaching God’s Word since 1980.
Welcome
Welcome to Manna Baptist Church! We are an Independent, Bible-believing New Testament church, firmly grounded in the truth of Scripture, and have been faithfully preaching God’s Word from the King James Bible since 1980.
Located in Palmer, Alaska, in the heart of the Matanuska-Susitna (Mat-Su) Valley, our church is part of a vibrant region known for its beautiful farmlands, majestic mountains, and close-knit communities. At Manna, we worship God with reverence, cultivate genuine fellowship, and encourage everyone to grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as we serve Him and our community.
Our name
Our name points to a powerful truth found in the Bible. Just as God faithfully provided the Israelites with manna in the wilderness, He provides for us today through His Word.
God’s Word is our spiritual bread. It nourishes our souls, gives direction for life, and sustains us through every season.
When the path feels uncertain, His truth remains steady and sure.
At Manna, we believe the Bible is life-giving, sufficient, and always relevant. Here, you’ll find hope for the journey, strength for each day, and a church family growing together in Christ.

Our pastor
Pastor Prudoehl was saved as a child after realizing his need for a Savior and placing his faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. At the age of 12, the Lord began directing his heart toward ministry, and he started serving in children’s church.
Over the years, God has allowed him to serve in several ministry roles, including as an assistant pastor in Saint Charles, Minnesota, interim pastor in Winona, Minnesota, and for ten years as Children’s Church Leader at Midwest Bible Baptist Church in Rochester, Minnesota.
Through each season of ministry, the Lord has continued to strengthen his love for preaching God’s Word, reaching people with the Gospel, and helping others grow in their walk with Christ.
His desire is simple: to faithfully preach the Word of God, reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and help people become faithful followers of Christ.
